(910) Practice Manager – Coram Chambers

Coram Chambers has a prestigious reputation in family law. Chambers is now seeking a Practice Manager to join their forward-thinking and friendly team. Reporting to the Senior Clerk and Senior Practice Managers you will oversee, supervise, and train the Junior Clerking Team, manage the day-to-day running of barristers’ practices and have responsibility, with other clerking team members, for the development of members’ highly specialist practices.

This role also supports business development and marketing activities for defined practice areas and for the enhancement of Chambers’ profile in the market, including the development of client relationships.

Duties include:

  • Practice and diary management
  • Fee negotiation and billing
  • Strategic business development
  • Liaising with Solicitors and other clients
  • Supporting more senior colleagues day to day
  • Supervision and mentorship of more junior colleagues
  • Obtaining court listings and involvement in listing cases

 The Person:

The successful candidate will possess the following skills:

  • A significant track record of working in a Barristers’ Chambers (5+ years)
  • Ideally experienced in family law
  • Demonstration of an understanding of marketing and business development processes, and knowledge of relevant practices
