We are led by friendly Directors with a combined 100+ years’ experience gained leading and managing several of the UK’s premier barristers chambers and law firms. This means we have a deep understanding of the legal market, its challenges and opportunities.  We have extensive contacts across the legal and business sectors.  Our clients benefit from our up to date market knowledge, which we are happy to share with all those we work with. This open approach and  shared insight is the backbone of the business.

Consultancy is free

Whereas many companies provide consultation as an ‘add on’ service during the recruitment process, we see it as just doing our job.  We provide ‘consultancy’ at all stages of processes, inception and creation of new roles, detailed planning, market intelligence and developments and candidate attraction, including guidance on compensation packages.

We also advise clients and candidates on role responsibilities, job descriptions, person specifications and organisational and structural change. Our processes are always open, supportive and inclusive.

We treat all candidates the same

GRL meets face to face with EVERY longlisted candidate whether senior, mid-level or just starting out.  Is this often a time intensive process? Yes, but it works.  We understand the importance of ensuring individuals have the right skills, offer the right ‘fit for the business’ and both parties have a solid understanding of each other’s requirements. This approach enables trusted relationships to form from the outset and ultimately leads to greater success.

The legal world is synergistic with the Bar, law firms and legal entities referring significant business between them. Through the considerable experience, contacts and trust enjoyed by our Directors and Consultants we make proactive introductions designed to deliver new business. It is really simple; we enjoy working with good people and introducing them to those we already know.

Hands off approach

We have a strict rule which is that we will never directly contact any individual within our clients’ businesses. We work hard to build trust on the client and candidate sides and simply moving people around for a fee, does not fit with our ethos.
