Our client is a highly regarded specialist Barristers’ Chambers with a formidable reputation, and recognised for excellence across all its key practice areas. Members of Chambers and Staff are also acknowledged for providing outstanding client service.
This position plays a key role in delivering a high-quality, efficient clerking service to both clients and members of chambers. This role is specifically focussed on supporting the civil clerking team. The work environment is dynamic and fast-paced, often involving a substantial workload. As a Practice Manager, the responsibilities span practice management, client handling, and business development. The role also involves deputising for the Senior Practice Manager as needed and offering support to Assistant Practice Managers. Success in this demanding role requires a proactive individual with outstanding interpersonal, organisational, and administrative abilities, exceptional prioritisation skills, and a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
Line managed by and reporting to the Senior Practice Manager, key duties include:
- Practice and diary management
- Strategic business development
- Liaising with Solicitors and other clients
- Supporting more senior colleagues
- Supervision of more junior colleagues
Suitable individuals will ideally possess a minimum of 3-4 years’ experience gained in a relevant Chambers or similar legal/professional services environment. They will be highly motivated, client service focused and possess outstanding communication skills. This role sits within the civil team.
