(868) Team Leader Assistant – Leading Barristers’ Chambers (WC1)

Our client is a multiple award-winning Barristers’ Chambers with a clear commitment to providing quality services to its clients and members of chambers. Its 84 barrister members, including 19 King’s Counsel, provide specialist advice, support and representation in employment, personal injury, clinical negligence and professional discipline and associated areas.

Chambers seeks to recruit a highly suitable individual to the position of Team Leader Assistant.  Working closely with the senior members of the team, the successful candidate will provide first-class support services to the Clerks’ Room, Members of Chambers and clients.

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Clerk and Deputy Senior Clerk, duties will include

  • Working closely with the team leaders to deliver the ongoing management, review, and development of all case management (“clerking”) functions. Including: Listing cases, case document management, proposing and agreeing fees, diary management, and significant client engagement.
  • Being proactive and ‘hands-on’ with a ‘can-do attitude’ in the management and development of members and their practices.
  • The leadership, and development of colleagues, creating positive working practices and environments.
  • Participation in Chambers’ business development and marketing functions and initiatives.
  • Continuous management and development of new and existing professional client relationships – ensuring constant review and feedback.
  • The ability to develop and deliver opportunities to create work from established and new clients.

The Person

Suitable individuals will have experience working in a similarly fast-paced and successful Chambers’ environment, ideally with a minimum of 4 years. Key traits and attributes will include confidence, professionalism, being a natural team player, and having excellent written and verbal communication skills.
