Our client is a leading Barristers’ Chambers with offices in London Birmingham and Bristol, specialising in many areas of law, including Business and Property, Planning, Family and Public Law. With 260 members, including 41 KCs, it is the largest Chambers in the UK, and has a reputation as a forward-thinking and friendly set.

This opportunity would suit someone looking to take the next step in their career within Chambers, ideally with 2 years’ experience or more. Candidates should be able to demonstrate that they have excellent people skills, be able to build strong internal and external relationships, have excellent communication skills, be able to maintain a positive attitude in challenging circumstances, have excellent time management and a keen eye for detail.

General duties include:

  • Effective and efficient diary management
  • Negotiating fees
  • Business development
  • Maintaining excellent client relationships
  • Scheduling conferences and hearings
  • Liaising with instructing solicitors and allocating instructions
  • Assessing and entering fees/data
  • Assist in Chambers business development initiatives

Person specification:

  • At least two A-Levels grades A-C preferred
  • Exposure of diary management and case fixing would be an advantage as well as proven office administration skills
  • Articulate in both verbal and written communications
  • You will demonstrate initiative and the ability to perform accurately under pressure
