Our client is a leading Barristers’ Chambers with over 100 barristers (including 43 King’s Counsel) practising across the whole spectrum of planning, property, environmental, administrative and public law and rating and valuation.
Chambers is seeking two Assistant Practice Managers to provide Practice Management support to individual members and help deliver an efficient, professional, service to Chambers’ clients.
Working under the day-to-day supervision of an assigned Practice Manager and reporting to an assigned Practice Director, the Assistant Practice Managers are expected to deliver an efficient, professional, service to Chambers’ clients.
Duties include:
- Liaising with Chambers’ clients by telephone or email, including assisting callers with any case and booking enquiries (under the supervision of the Practice Manager and/or Senior Practice Manager)
- Entering bookings and any other case related data on to the case management system in accordance with agreed procedures (under the supervision of the Practice Manager and/or Senior Practice Manager)
- Effectively managing both personal and ‘Practice Management’ email inboxes
- Attending business development and marketing events as required
- Assisting the Practice Manager and/or Senior Practice Manager with the preparation of any relevant documentation ahead of members’ individual practice review meetings, including carrying out any research as directed
- Fixing Court cases on a daily basis, including obtaining and preparing for Court listings for the following day
