Our client is a leading Barristers’ Chambers with a pre-eminent reputation for the work its members undertake in Employment, Discrimination and Equality, Personal Injury, Clinical Negligence, Sports and Entertainment, Commercial, Human Rights and Public law. Chambers’ clients range from individuals to public institutions and global companies in each of its key practice areas.

There are currently 56 Barrister members, including 17 KCs.  Members are supported by a team of Clerks (Practice Managers) and wider support staff, all recognised for their outstanding client service. The Role:

Chambers is seeking a Marketing and Pupillage Administrator to join its committed and friendly team.  Reporting to the COO, suitable candidates will be able to work well under pressure and be seeking a rewarding role in a forward-thinking and proactive environment. This role offers excellent flexible working and requires just one day in the office.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Lead the development of Chambers’ brand platform, including ensuring the organisation’s look, feel, tone, voice, and messaging advance its objectives
  • Work to elevate Chambers’ visibility and grow its influence and impact through a variety of channels, including social media, etc.
  • Regular updating and maintenance of Chambers’ website with news items, announcements, changes to barristers’ profiles and bios, publications of articles, etc.
  • Assisting with the maintenance of Chambers’ Twitter and LinkedIn accounts, contributing posts and co-ordinating posts from the website newsfeed
  • Assisting and supporting in the organisation of Chambers’ events such as seminars, conferences and social events including invitation lists, invoicing, delegate packs and presentations, pre-and post-event organisation, liaison with venues and caterers, and event set-up;
  • Management of relationships with outside agencies, i.e., Chambers and Partners, Legal 500
  • Supporting Barristers in their individual marketing endeavours
  • Support in the management and administration of the pupillage application process
  • Support in the administration of the mini-pupillage process
  • Design and delivery of outreach programmes to universities and relevant stakeholders – University Law Societies, careers officers, as well as race and social mobility initiatives

Suitable candidates will:

Ideally, be educated to degree level, and have some experience in marketing/brand/events management in a similar legal or professional services environment. They will have strong communication and organisational skills, be highly personable, and work well under pressure with accuracy. A working knowledge of Squarespace, Adobe InDesign, Canva and Photoshop would be advantageous but not a pre-requisite.
