Chambers is now seeking to recruit an Assistant Practice Manager to join its forward-thinking and widely respected practice management team. The role provides support to the Chambers Director, Jason Housden; Senior Practice Managers and Practice Managers in the day-to-day management of Members’ practices, delivering a professional clerking service for Chambers.
Key Responsibilities
- Diary and practice management
- Accepting and processing new work enquiries
- Working with and developing the Junior Clerk
- Assisting with and attending Practice Review Meetings
- Attending listing appointments
- Establishing relevant contractual terms and agreement on fees when onboarding cases
- Assisting with Chambers’ marketing activities, including attending events
- Accurately recording information on Chambers’ LEX system
Person Specification
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience, be highly organised, proactive and capable of managing a varied workload within a busy chambers’ environment. You will demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, be able to write confidently and have excellent attention to detail with the ability to work collaboratively with barristers and colleagues across Chambers. You will be a competent user of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and SharePoint. Experience of the LEX case management system is desirable
