Our client is a leading specialist Barristers’ Chambers based in the heart of ‘legal London’ with an outstanding reputation in each of its core areas of practice. Its 28 members, including 10 KCs (“Silks”), specialise in Commercial Litigation, Arbitration, Insolvency and Financial Services, and additional areas that complement its core areas for domestic and international clients.

Offering a very collegiate, friendly and progressive environment, Chambers now seeks to appoint a highly suitable individual to this entry-level position.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working with colleagues to ensure that all necessary tasks are performed daily and to a very high standard, to support the Barrister members
  • Locating authorities (legal cases) in libraries and online as directed
  • Accurately inputting of information on Chambers’ bespoke database (with training)
  • Lodging/delivering documents with various courts and tribunals
  • Transport of books and papers to and from courts and tribunals, and other collections and deliveries as required
  • General office duties including photocopying, e-mail management, collection and management of DX/post, archiving and confidential waste

Person Qualities

You will be highly personable and be able to consistently work well under pressure. You will be highly organised with an excellent attention to detail, a team player with a very flexible ‘can-do’ approach and attitude. You will also be driven and ambitious, keen to develop professionally and personally. This role presents an excellent long-term career opportunity. A genuine interest in working in a support role within the legal profession will be considered an advantage.
