Chambers’ clients range from individuals to public institutions and global companies in each of its key practice areas.

There are currently 56 Barrister members, including 17 KCs.  Members are supported by a team of Clerks (Practice Managers) and wider support staff, all recognised for their outstanding client service. The Role:

Chambers is seeking a Front of House Administrative Assistant to join its committed and friendly team.  Reporting to the COO, suitable candidates will be able to work well under pressure and be seeking a rewarding role in a forward-thinking and proactive environment. Due to the nature of this position, this role is office-based.

Main responsibilities include:

  • To provide excellent front-of-house service, managing incoming client calls
  • Greeting private clients and Solicitors with a welcoming, efficient service
  • Providing Executive Assistant Support to Chambers COO
  • Allocating conference rooms to barristers and ensuring all refreshments are available
  • Preparing conference rooms for meetings
  • Dealing with external contractors and suppliers
  • Supporting the marketing team with event administration and setting up events
  • Stock monitoring of catering and stationery supplies
  • IT support

Suitable candidates will:

Ideally have previous experience in front-of-house and/or administrative duties in a legal or professional services environment. They will have strong communication and organisational skills, and offer a calm and cheerful approach, even under pressure. An ability to adapt and prioritise competing demands in a busy and changing workload. Additional required traits include attention to detail, accuracy, integrity, and a good understanding of equality and diversity principles.
