Working under the supervision of the Senior Fees Clerk, the Junior Fees Clerk is expected to provide assistance on a day-to-day basis to the rest of the Finance Team.

Duties will include;

  • Assisting with an organised approach to Chambers’ fee chasing systems
  • Sending fee notes and invoices for all new work billed
  • Sending reminder fee notes and invoices
  • Processing payments to online banking system and bank reconciliation
  • Providing general assistance with other fee-related tasks and projects when required.
  • Submission of bills/payment on account applications on CCMS (training will be provided)

Suitable candidates will have;

  • Ideally 1 to 2 years’ experience in an office based role in a finance department, or an interest in finance
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including good spoken and written English
  • Ability to work effectively with colleagues, barristers and clients
  • Calm, patient and flexible approach to work in a very busy environment
  • Work well under pressure with the ability to multi-task
  • Professional attitude and presentation
  • Good organisational skills to ensure all financial information is accurate and up to date
  • Good A-level qualifications (including an A*to C grade in Mathematics)
