In direct response GRL has created a bespoke professional development and training service for individuals and teams. There is clear acknowledgement in the link between success and a need to invest in staff training and development.
As the Bar continues to change, modern business practices demand a different approach. Led by Wayne Rees, Director of Professional Development, GRL works in partnership with individuals, some of whom have secured a new role with additional responsibilities. We help them to develop new skills or hone those they already have. Our services have been designed to promote ongoing self-development and empowerment.
We also work with chambers’ staffing teams, designing and delivering bespoke training and development services, including standalone or detailed ongoing programmes. These are aimed at improving individual and team performance by identifying and acquiring skills and behaviour necessary for future success of the organisation they work for.
All our training is designed to be interactive, thought provoking and to encourage discussion and feedback.
GRL was approached by a Chambers Director who had recently been appointed to the post. He had looked at his clerking structure, wished to re-organise it and create two teams within the structure.
GRL were approached by a senior clerking manager who said he was frustrated in his present role as there was no opportunity to advance his career. While having considerable autonomy in his job, which he really enjoyed, his boss was slightly older than he was and therefore was blocking his advancement.
