Our client is a leading Barristers’ Chambers providing advisory and advocacy services, with a pre-eminent reputation for its family, property and civil work. Chambers has more than 50 members including QCs, and both barristers and staff are recognised for providing friendly, client-oriented, and efficient services.
Following internal restructuring and promotion, Chambers is now seeking a highly suitable individual for the position of Senior Practice Manager. The role plays an important part in the management and development of Barristers’ practices as well as supporting the ongoing promotion and development of Chambers.
Key duties include:
- Effective diary and practice management
- Fee negotiation and agreement
- Deputising for colleagues and managing and training more junior staff
- Advising clients on appropriate counsel and dealing with enquiries
- Business development/marketing – building and maintaining client relationships and attending events.
Ideal candidates will have relevant levels of experience gained in a suitable Chambers environment – an understanding of family clerking will be a benefit but isn’t a pre-requisite. They will be highly organised, motivated and be capable of quickly becoming an effect part of this busy and friendly clerking team.
