Circa. £50k (depending on experience)
Our client is a modern, specialist set of Barristers’ Chambers based in the Temple whose barristers provide specialist advisory and advocacy services in the fields of commercial and property law.
Chambers now seeks an ambitious and forward-thinking individual to complement its client focused and dynamic team.
Working closely with the Senior Clerk, colleagues, members and clients, the role will play an important part in the pro-active management and development of Chambers and the practices of its members, providing an excellent service to members and clients by maintaining Chambers’ extremely high standards.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Effective diary and practice management
- Fee negotiation and agreement
- Deputising for the First Junior Clerk in his absence and managing and training more junior colleagues
- Advising clients on appropriate counsel and dealing with enquiries
- Business development (building and maintaining client relationships)
Suitable candidates will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar environment. They will be highly motivated and seeking a ‘hands on’ role in a busy and friendly clerks’ room, where they can continue their development and play an active role in Chambers’ success.
