Our client is a leading Barristers’ Chambers with 69 barristers, including 27 KC’s (‘Silks’). Chambers is highly regarded and has consistent tier 1 rankings in the leading legal directories for its legal and advocacy expertise in each of its specialist practice areas across the whole remit of Commercial and Chancery Law.

Following a period of sustained growth, Chambers now seeks to appoint a highly suitable, personable individual to the newly created position of Personal Assistant to the Chambers Director, in a role that will also offer additional support to its first-class, highly personable support team.

The Role:

Reporting to the Chambers Director, key responsibilities will include;

  • Diary, telephone, and email management, Co-ordinating travel arrangements
  • Collating papers for meetings, preparing agendas, recording attendance and voting, taking minutes
  • In a paperless environment, undertaking the CD’s inbox filing, document filing and generally assisting with good electronic data management
  • Liaising with contractors and suppliers
  • Managing confidential data including routine secure destruction from Chambers’ databases in accordance with policy
  • Administration of Barristers’ regulatory renewals and compliance obligations
  • Record and database management

 The Person

The successful candidate will ideally have 10 years’ experience working as a secretary/PA at management level, in a similarly busy legal/professional services/corporate environment, juggling competing demands / multiple tasks. They will be very personable, highly organised, efficient, very discreet, focussed and a pro-active multitasker, with excellent communication both in writing and in person.

The role is offered with an attractive salary package, commensurate with the seniority of the position.
