Our client, One Essex Court is a ‘Magic Circle’ Barristers’ Chambers, based in the Temple, London EC4. Chambers has an outstanding reputation in each of its core practice areas, providing specialist legal advice, support, and advocacy services worldwide. With more than 120 full-time Barristers, Chambers’ expertise covers all areas of Commercial law, particularly arbitration, litigation, regulation, and dispute resolution.

Chambers now seeks to appoint an outstanding individual to the position of PA/EA to the Senior Clerk. The role will provide first-class support to the Senior Clerk on a relatively flexible, part-time basis.

The Role –  To provide comprehensive administrative support to the Senior Clerk, including some client call handling, diary management, fixing client appointments and booking venues, dealing with correspondence and scheduling meetings, both internal and external.

  • Call handling, message management;
  • Diary management, fixing of client appointments and booking venues;
  • Booking and arranging internal committee meetings and circulating relevant materials to attendees;
  • Managing the booking of video meetings, arranging Teams and Zoom connections;
  • Managing invitations/acceptances to a wide range of corporate events;
  • Making arrangements to attend various industry conferences, both domestics and international;
  • Coordinating travel arrangements, hotels, flights etc.;
  • Some limited marketing event venue coordination;
  • Handling and responding to some internal and external correspondence;
  • Handling some limited personal correspondence.

The Person

The successful candidate will be highly organised with a keen eye for detail.  This role will include dealing with professional clients; therefore a professional attitude and demeanour is required at all times.
