Our Client is a leading set of Barristers’ Chambers based in the heart of ‘legal London’ with an outstanding reputation in each of its core areas of practice. Its 79 members (including 19 ‘silks’) specialise in employment, personal injury, clinical negligence, health and safety, environmental, professional regulatory and discipline and additional areas that compliment its core practice.

Chambers is now seeking to appoint a Junior Team Leader’s Assistant to join its highly regarded team. This role is an ideal ‘step up’ for a Junior Clerk with at least 1-2 years’ experience who is looking to take their career to the next level.

The Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Advising on availability and suitability of Counsel
  • Proposing and agreeing fees
  • Practice management and development
  • Deputising for more senior colleagues
  • Managing and mentoring more junior colleagues
  • Opportunities to take part in Chambers’ events and marketing initiatives

Person Specification

  • A confident and professional approach with a committed attitude
  • Be able to work well under pressure, whilst remaining calm
  • Team player who can also work under their own initiative
  • Smartly presented
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with people at all levels (both written and verbal)
