to £38,000 (c3-5 years’ experience)
Our client, Mountford Chambers, specialises in all areas of criminal law but with a particular emphasis on serious crime, business crime, regulatory and public law. Chambers’ 6 KC and 41 barrister members have a reputation for being assured and compelling advocates who provide forensic and rigorous advice and representation.
Due to continued growth and expansion, Chambers is looking to recruit a highly suitable individual with criminal clerking experience to assist in the smooth running of chambers affairs to work with its young and friendly existing clerking team.
The Role – Core duties will include:
- Assisting with the overall practice and diary management
- Assisting the senior clerking team to identify gaps and/or over-bookings in individual diaries
- Allocate hearings and conferences to appropriate counsel
- Quoting and agreeing members’ fees for appropriate cases
- Liaising with courts and solicitors, including both oral and written correspondence
- Client care and liaison
