Our Client is one of the UK’s leading Barristers’ Chambers specialising in Commercial and International Law with a reputation for excellence in their main areas of practice. Chambers now seeks to appoint a highly suitable individual to the role of Assistant Practice Manager.
Working within an established and dynamic team, and a designated team of Barristers, the successful individual will assist with the smooth running and continued development of Chambers’ practice management functions.

The Role
Working with a designated team of members, the APM reports to their designated Practice Manager. Working closely with colleagues, members of Chambers and clients, the successful individual will play a significant part in the effective day-to-day management and on-going development of members’ practices. This will include effective liaison with Solicitors and other clients, fair allocation of work and fee negotiation for members of the team.
In addition, the individual will play a pro-active role in Chambers’ business development and marketing functions and in conjunction with more senior colleagues, will help to deliver Chambers’ business development and marketing initiatives. The ability to spot opportunities for cross-selling and to develop and maintain professional relationships to attract and retain new business is vital.
The Person
You will possess the knowledge and skills relevant to the functions required and will have a
minimum of 3-5 years’ relevant experience in a similar civil/commercial environment.
You will be meticulously organised, self-motivated and driven and have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, at all levels within Chambers, with clients and other outside organisations.
