(810) Fees Clerk – Leading Civil Barristers’ Chambers (London)

1 Crown Office Row (1COR) is a leading set of Barristers’ Chambers, widely respected for its formidable reputation across a broad range of practice areas. Chambers is equally known for its exceptional client service, delivered by both Members and its outstanding staff team.

Chambers is now seeking a capable and experienced Fees Clerk to join its dedicated administration team. This is a vital position, working closely with the Practice Directors, Members of Chambers, and external providers to ensure the smooth operation of Chambers’ billing and fee collection processes.

The Role:

  • To Monitor and chase outstanding fees.
  • Work closely with practice directors on aged debt recovery.
  • Main contact for external fee recovery partners.
  • Handle general fee-related queries.
  • Support costs budgeting requirements.
  • Prepare data, reports and information for internal meetings.
  • Produce ‘unbilled fees’ and other reports.
  • Play active role in key elements of Chambers’ billing requirements.

 The Person:

  • Experience in fee collection gained within a barristers’ chambers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external providers.
  • Knowledge of LAA and CFA funding.
