Our client is one of the largest Barristers’ Chambers in the South West, providing advisory and advocacy services to a nationwide client base. Chambers has over 80 Barristers, working from a modern office in an impressive location in Bristol, close to the city’s historic harbour.  In 2022 Chambers was awarded the Legal 500’s prestigious ‘Set outside London of the Year’,  and were shortlisted again in 2023 and in 2024. Chambers was shortlisted for the ‘Regional Set of the Year’ by Chambers UK Guide to the Bar in 2024 and in 2023 won the ‘Regional Family Law Set of the Year’ at the national Family Law Awards.  These awards highlight the expert service provided, the high-level instructions received from law firms in England and Wales and the support provided to clients.

Chambers now seeks to appoint a suitable individual to its most senior staff leadership role as Chief Executive. The Chief Executive is responsible for the formulation and delivery of the agreed business and professional objectives of Chambers and its Members.  They will build on Chambers’ successes and create the plan and vision to move it into the future.

The Chief Executive is also responsible for the provision of business services to Members of Chambers and their clients through the effective management of Chambers’ finances, the creation and delivery of business development and marketing strategies and initiatives. They are responsible for the effective leadership and development of Chambers’ practice management, finance and administrative teams.

Suitable individuals will already possess a significant record of leadership and delivery in a legal, professional services or similarly demanding environment.  They will be proficient in all areas of business finance including detailed reporting and presentation of information.  It is vital that they are an outstanding communicator capable of tact, diplomacy and quickly building professional relationships with colleagues and clients.
