Our Client is a leading Barristers’ Chambers, whose Members are instructed in a wide variety of Commercial and Chancery areas, with an emphasis on business, property, corporate and commercial matters.
The purpose of the role is to work alongside the Practice Management Team to assist with the administration of the barristers’ practices. The role is integral to the efficient and effective functioning of the team. It is a busy, demanding role which requires strong interpersonal skills, organisation and the ability to multi-task and prioritise.
Duties include:
- Diary and practice management, including the entering of times, the recording of case related expenses and the issuing of fee notes
- Recording diary bookings and booking conference facilities
- Liaising with the High Court, County Court and other relevant courts or tribunals regarding harding dates or request of information
- Supporting the Marketing and Clerking Teams with internal and external events
- Preparation of materials for the Practice Development Meetings
- Arranging the necessary call documents and work permits for overseas Court apperances
The individual:
- Must have 3-5 years’ experience working in a Barristers’ Chambers
- Ability to develop relationships with people across all levels of seniority
- Organised self-starter with ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication skills
- Drive, enthusiasm and eager to learn
- Ability to think clearly and find effective solutions to problems
