(754) Practice Manager (Family Team) – Leading Multi-disciplinary Barristers’ Chambers (London)

Our client, one of the largest and most successful Barristers’ Chambers in the UK, is seeking an enthusiastic and conscientious person to play a key role in the practice management of its Family Practice Team. The successful candidate will have at least 3-5 years of clerking experience or equivalent experience gained in the legal sector within Family Law, including diary management, and liaising with solicitors and court staff.

The Role:

  • Promoting the team and individual team members with professional clients and other organisations
  • Together with the Director of Clerking, undertaking members’ practice reviews, planning for the appropriate development of their practice and following up on actions from the reviews.
  • Understanding and recognising the capabilities of the team and its individual members in depth

Business Development

  • Working closely with the DoC and other PMs and individual members to develop business and further team objectives through attending events, networking and developing close relationships with solicitors and other contacts, and developing opportunities and marketing initiatives.

Business development duties will include:

  • Handling existing client portfolios and maintaining excellent communication and loyalty
  • Attending events to network with contacts and develop business

 Person Specification:

  • 3-5 years of clerking or equivalent experience gained in the legal sector within Family Law, including diary management, and liaising with solicitors and court staff
  • Experience in negotiating case fees
  • Experience in building and developing professional relationships with solicitors
  • Experience in building and developing business opportunities in new areas of practice is desirable
