Our client, Wilberforce Chambers, is one of the leading commercial, chancery and business law Barristers’ Chambers in the UK, comprising 83 specialist barristers, including 35 KCs. Members of Chambers are involved in some of the most intellectually challenging and legally significant matters undertaken by the Bar today. They offer a full range of advocacy, advisory, drafting, arbitration and mediation services to a wide variety of clients, both in the UK and across numerous international jurisdictions.

Chambers is now seeking to recruit a Practice Manager to one of its four teams. The role involves directly supporting the Senior Practice Manager in the ongoing management and development of practices of the members, as well as supervising and assisting in the development of the more junior practice managers in the team.

The Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Significant practice development and management for all members of your designated team
  • Professional diary management for a designated team of members
  • Deputising for the Senior Practice Manager in their absence
  • Working with the other Senior Practice Managers/Practice Managers to ensure the continued effectiveness of the practice management function as a whole
  • Significant fee management, including estimating, negotiation, agreement
  • Client relationship management, including managing existing clients and active development of new business opportunities (UK and International)
  • Attending client care and development meetings with new and existing clients
  • Attending and offering input into Barrister practice management meetings
