Our client, Twenty Essex, is one of the UK’s leading Barristers’ Chambers specialising in Commercial and International Law.

Working alongside the CEO, Practice Management team and Barristers, this role takes a lead in driving forward Chambers’ marketing objectives, ensuring all marketing activities and external communications are of the highest quality and adequately reflect Chambers’ brand and core values across multiple channels and platforms. The role provides practical marketing assistance to all Members of Chambers as well as providing strategic input and ideas into business plans and budgets in relation to brand, profile and communications. At the centre of the role is a focus on efficiency and the ability to maximise return on investment to fit with Chambers’ marketing strategy.

Key responsibilities and duties include:


  • Act as the lead on brand projects and application of the visual identity.
  • Work within the relevant budgets, ensuing cost allocation and forecasting
  • To be a brand ambassador and to act as a guardian of Chambers’ brand and core values.
  • Help drive forward projects on client service and experience.

Communications – PR, directories/awards and events

  • Work with the BD Team and external agencies to manage content creation that adds value, supports the brand and core values, drives traffic to Chambers’ website and helps generate new business enquiries, ensuring that it reaches target audiences.
  • Manage legal directory and award submissions through to successful conclusions.


  • Help plan, develop and execute all aspects of Chambers’ social media strategy across agreed platforms (including, but not limited to, LinkedIn and Twitter).
  • Ensure Chambers maximises SEO value from all online content.
  • Guide and mentor the Marketing Executive with social media strategy and implementation.

The Person

  • Previous marketing experience within a legal services or professional services environment.
  • Previous experience in events management.
  • Thorough understanding of Microsoft Office packages.
  • Experience using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator (desirable).
