Our client, One Essex Court, is a ‘Magic Circle’ Barristers’ Chambers based in the Temple, London EC4, specialising in commercial litigation and arbitration.  Chambers consists of over 125 barristers including 49 King’s Counsel (‘Silks’) and is highly regarded in each of its specialist practice areas, receiving continuous praise in the leading legal directories.

Chambers is now seeking to appoint a highly suitable individual to the role of Document Production and Library Manager.

Duties include:

  • Sole responsibility for Chambers’ onsite library and document production facility.
  • Responding to requests for legal textbooks, reports and other online legal resources.
  • Managing Chambers’ online resources, including Westlaw, Lawtel, iLaw and Lexis Nexis Law.
  • Managing Chambers’ supplier accounts and associated budgets in collaboration with the Library Committee.
  • Managing the printing requirements of Barristers and Arbitrators.
  • Producing case hearing bundles for court.
  • Maintaining accurate records of Chambers’ books and online library resources.

Applicants will have very strong organisational and communication skills. They will be professional, highly personable and motivated. IT literacy is important but full training will be provided on any bespoke software. Previous experience in a legal or professional services environment is an advantage but not a pre-requisite.
