Our client is a leading set of Barristers’ Chambers based in London, WC2. With more than 100 Barristers, including several KC’s, Chambers prides itself on its highly personable and professional approach.

Working closely with the Chambers Director and Management Committee, the holder of this newly created post will manage Chambers’ processes for ensuring compliance with its regulatory and statutory duties and responsibilities. They will also manage the development and implementation of Chambers’ equality and diversity initiatives.  This is a pro-active role designed to help embed best practice in these areas throughout Chambers.

The role has shared responsibility for all relevant policies, procedures, and information, ensuring this is always current and compliant – acknowledging where this can be improved or changed and communicating this effectively. It also acts as Chambers Equality Data Officer and Data Protection Manager.

The role also oversees the regulatory obligations required by the Bar Standards Board, The Bar Council and The City of London Law Society as well as specialist Bar Associations.

Suitable candidates will already be working in a role which includes compliance and have a genuine interest in this rapidly developing area. They will be an outstanding communicator capable of sharing information quickly and effectively and to a broad range of stakeholders. They will be meticulous with the detail, highly organised and a confident self-starter.
